The GSMA hopes to boost the M2M market

Operator group Telekom Austria is stepping up its M2M service offering internationally with a platform supplied by software provider and system integrator Comarch.

Comarch will host and manage operations and support of the platform. The M2M platform will enable Telekom Austria Group to support multiple tenants, currencies and languages and the platform will sit at the core of Telekom Austria Group’s M2M SIMplify Platform, the integrator said.

The modular solution will enable Telekom Austria Group to later extend its offering to voice and cloud services, M2M application enablement and device management, said Comarch.

“At Telekom Austria Group M2M, we work with international partners who are leaders in their respective industries and expect the highest quality of M2M services,”said Phat Huynh, managing director at Telekom Austria Group M2M.

“We want our M2M SIMplify platform to serve all the important players in the M2M value chain and meet the demands of a dynamic environment. We chose Comarch because their M2M platform perfectly matched our requirements.

Piotr Piatosa, VP and member of the Board at Comarch added: “I am positive that the platform will not only significantly lower Telekom Austria Group’s operational costs given the managed services model, but it will also greatly improve productivity due to a high degree of process automation and out-of-the-box features”
