Nokia warns over jealous PCs

Who would have thought Nokia had a sense of humour? The typically dour Finnish firm has launched a campaign for its N95 superphone based on the concept that other pieces of computer hardware are jealous of the device.

Over at jealouscomputers.com, Nokia has set up a faux ‘global warning’ page on the dangerous jealous computer epidemic sweeping the world.

The site is complete with shocking footage of the supposed attacks but it’s only shocking because of the terrible amateur quality of the footage and the fact that it appears to have been sent in by real people keen to win a t-shirt.

But regardless of the questionable marketing campaign, Nokia seems to have its sights set on the horizon, particularly in the wake of the Twango acquisition on Tuesday. The future – it’s all about user generated content you know.
