Telkom CEO Nombulelo Moholi will step down from her role

South African fixed and mobile operator Telkom has announced that its CEO Nombulelo Moholi will step down from her role. Moholi will serve a six-month notice period while the board seeks her replacement.

Telkom director Neo Phakama Dongwana has also informed the board of her resignation and has already left the firm. Telkom said that Moholi and Dongwana did not cite any reasons for their departures.

The firm said that it will look to fill the current vacancies within the firm before appointing a new CEO. Telkom requires at least eight directors in place, as outlined in its Memorandum of Incorporation.

“The Company would like to emphasise that Ms Moholi’s intended departure does not impact on its operational capabilities, and on its ability to provide customers with the best possible service,” the firm said in a statement.
