Philips’ Xenium range has 40 day battery life

Dutch electronics firm, Philips, has announced a new line of mobiles it claims can run for 40 days and 40 nights of standby on a single charge.

Released to the Hong Kong market, the Xenium range are a traditional chocolatebar design in three flavours, the 9@9a, 9@9d, and 9@9t. The 9@9 is the entry-level device with dual-band GSM connectivity and, according to the company, lasts slightly longer than its siblings on a single charge. It uses a 1.5-inch OLED display with 2MB onboard memory.

The 9@9d comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Java 2.0, and 18MB of onboard memory. The 9@9t uses a 128×160 touch screen, built-in MP3 player, miniSD expansion. It does not have IrDA or Bluetooth.
