Category eight of the The LTE Awards 2013  is for the Best LTE Traffic Management Product.

For this award entrants are required to describe the traffic management product and how it contributes to making LTE more attractive for operators to deploy and has contributed to the success of a commercial LTE deployment.

The nominations are:

–        Avvasi Inc: Avvasi Q-VUE, Q-SRV

–        Citrix ByteMobile: Citrix ByteMobile T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager

–        Citrix ByteMobile: T1100

–        Flash Networks: TCP-4TE

–        Openwave Mobility: Media Optimizer

Citrix ByteMobile is the obvious standout here having been nominated for two awards in the same category. Regarding the T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager, Chris Koopmans, VP & GM service provider platforms, Cloud Networking, Citrix said that the solution represents the state of the art in traffic management and would provide LTE operators with the ability to move beyond price and peak rates to compete and monetise on the basis of differentiated subscriber experience. Meanwhile he said he believed that the T100 would establish a new bar for the effective integration of application delivery and traffic management, especially when deployed in tandem with the T3100.

“It’s an honour to be nominated alongside some of the most innovative names in the industry,” Koopmans said. “The nomination is testament to both our dedication to providing LTE operators with the tools to better compete and manage their network and to the emergence of Citrix as a leading mobile network vendor.”

Flash Networks’ TCP-4TE is not just another traffic management solution according to its VP of Marketing and Business, Merav Bahat. It’s the only management solution that can effectively boost LTE speeds by up to 50 per cent with no infrastructure investment required, he claims thanks to its patented TCP optimisation solution. “As LTE is all about speed, users will no longer be satisfied with unoptimized LTE,” Bahat says.

The award nomination is a real boost for Flash Networks Bahat is happy to confirm. “With the additional exposure and prestige that Flash Networks has earned as nominees for this award we hope more operators will be aware of the exceptional benefits that our technology can offer them. And as more operators adopt TCP-4TE, more and more users will enjoy an accelerated LTE experience.”
