Samsung intros Symbian GPS device

The first day of the Symbian Smartphone Show in London was all about Samsung, with the Korean manufacturer lifting the curtain on its first S60 based smartphone with GPS.

The candy bar design i550 is based on Symbian OS v9.2 and features GPS navigation with voice activated turn by turn guidance.

The device also features HSDPA with 3.6Mbps downlink, a trackball for navigation and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The Samsung i550 will be available in Europe from November.

This year, Samsung has introduced five Symbian smartphones including the Samsung i550 and i560 announced today, the i450, the i400 and the i520.
