Vodafone keeps it in the family
Vodafone UK will launch a new friends and family tariff on Wednesday, allowing groups of either four or six people to make unlimited calls to each other.
The way the scheme works is that one of the subscribers to the Vodafone Family tariff pays £5 per month and is able to nominate three other Vodafone customers on either contract or prepay subscriptions. Calls between these four numbers are then free for up to an hour per call.
Users can also be part of a larger calling circle, paying £7 per month for a group of six people.
The operator is pitching the tariff as a way of ensuing parents can stay in touch with children even when they are out of credit.
