NSN appoints head of Central, East and West Africa

Nokia Solutions and Networks has announced the appointment of Salvatore Maisano as its new head of Central East and West Africa. It is the second senior appointment in Africa for NSN in less than a month as the firm refreshes its regional roster under the leadership of MEA senior vice president Igor Leprince.

In March NSN appointed Deon Geyser as head of the Southern African sub-region.

Maisano was previously head of sales for the MEA region at NSN and before joining Nokia in 1999 worked as head of China and the Far east fro OTE/Marconi.

“We welcome Sal to Africa,” Leprince said in a statement issued Monday. “With his strong track record in international sales and oeprations, I am confident that he will drive our ambitious plans across the CEWA region.”

Africa Com 2014 will take place at the CTICC, Cape Town, November 11 – 13.
