Nokia inks deal to deliver Cartoon Network shows

Finnish mobile giant Nokia has inked a deal with the Cartoon Network that will see Nokia users able to download shows such as ‘Johnny Bravo’ and ‘Dexter’s Laboratory’ straight to their handsets.

Cartoon Network – owned by Turner Broadcasting – will use Nokia’s Content Discoverer application to host content. The pair will deliver clips, games and previews of upcoming shows to Nokia users. Nokia said financial terms were not agreed.

The countries under the agreement include Belgium, Britain, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden.

“Offering popular entertainment from Cartoon Network will greatly enhance the value of the Nokia Content Discoverer program to network operators and to the end consumers,” said Brad Brockhaug, director of business development and channels at Forum Nokia, Nokia’s global developer program.
