Intel to deliver HSDPA notebooks

Finnish vendor Nokia has climbed into bed with chip giant Intel to deliver HSDPA mobile broadband connectivity to notebook users.

Although 3G and HSDPA data cards are already available for notebook users, the Nokia module will be integrated with the next-generation Intel Centrino Duo platform, offering HSDPA connectivity as an embedded option.

Mooly Eden, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Mobile Platforms Group said the module “complements Intel’s wifi and WiMAX solutions to offer expanded connectivity options for notebook users”.
