FreeMove expands to Greece and Bulgaria

Roaming partnership the FreeMove Alliance has expanded into southern and Eastern Europe with the addition of Cosmote in Greece and Globul in Bulgaria, which join existing members Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom Orange, TeliaSonera and Telecom Italia.

Founded in 2003, FreeMove currently spans 38 countries across Europe, the USA, Russia and Brazil. Both Cosmote and Globul are part of the OTE group and will add around 10 million more subscribers to the FreeMove network.

The partnership works on the development of international alliance member services and roaming benefits, particularly for enterprise customers, by “taking the guesswork out of cost control, with clearer, harmonised tariffs on voice calls and transparent, cost-effective data bundles,” FreeMove said.
