Huawei cutting staff in India as prospects turn sour – report

Reports have emerged suggesting Huawei is laying off staff and cutting revenue objectives in India, as the anti-China sentiment gathers steam around the world.

Some might have been expecting such a move from the Chinese company, the relationship between India and China has been increased strained in recent months, but the report from the Economic Times suggests Huawei has been firmly pushed off its pedestal by the White House.

Although not officially confirmed, the rumours suggest Huawei is cutting its revenue expectations by 50% for 2020, while it will also be reducing its headcount by 60-70%. These reductions will also include its R&D work in the country as its commercial prospects start to look slimmer in India.

With tensions rising quickly between the two Governments, it has been suggested India is prepared to ban its state-owned telecoms operators, BSNL and MTNL, from working with Huawei, while Reliance Jio has already said it would not work with the under-fire vendor.

There are of course two other weighty customers to work with in this market, however exclusion from BSNL, MTNL and Reliance Jio is a massive loss for Huawei. The two state-owned telecoms operators are attempting to build 4G networks, while Reliance Jio is at the front of the back for 5G work. There is a lot of money being left in the market for rivals to plunder.

India will become a laggard as all others who benefit from Huawei advanced technology power ahead leaving India at a disadvantage in technology and military applications.

India to overtake China economically in 15 years. That is some stupid thinking professors dream. The problem is…. India cannot even organise itself, cannot even take the right action. It is constantly swayed by emotion and feelings. When India becomes a proxy for USA in a war with China, India will regret and will have to pay, sadly for India, a very heavy economic losses.

India has no forsight. It is not focused. It is torn here and there. India will take at least a 100 years to get to where is now. In a 100 years, China will have achieved great stride in all fields. India will be even far behind China. Gap is getting bigger and bigger, not smaller and smaller. Why? India leadership is doing all the wrong things based on emotions. The Chinese already know this for 1000 of years. That is why, China was able to bow low and hide it sorrow while still striving to succeed.

‘Bow low and hide its sorrow?’ Japan, yes. Beijing, no. The Foreign Ministry in Beijing is constantly regurgitating the same ridiculous rhetoric about some country ‘hurting the feelings of the Chinese people’ even if foreign leaders meet with the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, or other small issues such as this. Recently, when the Australian government called for an independent investigation into the pandemic, the CCP was incredibly emotional and aggressive with the state tabloid mouthpiece Global Times calling Australia ‘the gum on China’s shoe.’ https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/28/australia-called-gum-stuck-to-chinas-shoe-by-state-media-in-coronavirus-investigation-stoush

Given the recent clashes at the border where PLA soldiers used nail studded clubs to send 20 Indian soldiers brutally to their deaths and injuring many more, it would be understandable if India decides not to reward Huawei with contracts in the country.

Jack and his ladakh Jill. China needa to wake up and smell the coffee. Your economy is completely dependant on orders from around the world. Almost everyone will stop buying anything from you what happens to your economy? You will be left with a N.Korea and a pakistan to supply to. Militarily you are neutralised … And you know it. Good luck.. You are going to need it!!.
