Orange extends iPhone contract in Europe, Africa

The iPhone news machine continues to rumble on, with France Telecom owned Orange finally announcing an extension to its existing contract with Apple.

On Friday, the French carrier said that it had agreed a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Orange’s African markets – which presumably means Guinea Konakri, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Niger, Mali, Kenya, Cameroon, Madagascar, Botswana and the Central African Republic.

Orange has an existing agreement to sell the iPhone exclusively in France.
