It is early days for disaggregation in IP networks, but it’s coming sooner than you think. The industry can already cite some real-world examples of large-scale disaggregated networks.

The service providers’ economic model hasn’t changed in years. Lower CapEx of new IP routers built on traditional models will not fundamentally change it either. Conversely, disaggregated networks and the separation of hardware and software based on standard networking white boxes, offer the economic benefits of hyperscale clouds, promoting higher scale at much lower CapEx and OpEx.

Several industry players are trying to downplay these benefits and the traction that disaggregation is receiving from service providers. However, a recent study conducted by Heavy Reading indicates that network operators expect to make radical changes to their IP networks in relation to disaggregation.

In this webinar, join us and hear about the key findings from network operators’ plans and strategies for disaggregating their IP networks and learn from top customer use cases of network disaggregation.

Network disaggregation is already here. Learn more.

Key topics include:
• What radical changes telecom operators expect to come to the network within the next three years.
• Why software-based networking and disaggregation of hardware and software appear to be the direction of these changes.
• How networking vendor lock-in will be coming to an end, and how service providers are looking for open, disaggregated networking solutions.
