Telecom operators have experienced more attacks to their DNS services in the past 12 months than to any other part of their networks, according to Telecoms.com 2020 Annual Industry Survey. While nearly half of the operators are protecting their DNS services against volumetric DDoS attacks, other types of DNS security received less investment.
In this webinar, we will explain why DNS security should be a priority. We will cover the different types of attacks targeting DNS services – from the popular L4 volumetric to sophisticated L7 attacks – and how to mitigate them. We will also cover new trends in DNS and their impact on the attack surface. Finally, we will explain, based on the different nature of all these attacks, how to best design a secure virtualised, multi-layered DNS cache/resolver solution and the technologies available to help.
Key topics include:
• DNS security landscape and Telecoms.com survey findings
• Types of DNS attacks – from L4 volumetric to sophisticated L7
• New DNS trends (DoH/ DoT) and their impact on the DNS attack surface
• Virtualised DNS architectures and how to build secure, multi-layered DNS cache/resolver solutions
