The Road to 5G: European Momentum

The webinar will discuss the momentum behind 5G in Europe, what the key next steps are from a technology, spectrum and regulatory standpoint and the operators that are accelerating the commercial rollout. The webinar will address the opportunities for 5G, in both sub-6 and mmWave, from three distinct perspectives: EMB, IoT and mission-critical, and will demonstrate how both operators and vertical industries will be able to leverage the benefits 5G brings. From a silicon perspective the webinar will cover the latest developments on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 processor. Test devices based on the Snapdragon X50 will be used extensively by operators in trials that will begin in Europe later this year. The webinar will discuss timings and objectives of the trials with a focus on the MiSE activities underway in Italy, the work with infrastructure providers across the region and the likely use cases.
