The 5 June Recap

A recap of the week’s telecoms news. Jamie had a day in Paris to meet Orange CFO Ramon Fernandez, who made it clear he’s not a fan of the European Commission’s tough stance on operator consolidation and was keen to talk up his company’s move into banking. Meanwhile, staying in France, Vivendi got the all clear to make a move on the artist formerly known as Telecom Italia and promptly replaced its Chairman with the Vivendi CEO.
