Mobile phone users in the US spent $1.5 billion purchasing items on their handsets over the course of the Thanksgiving public holiday, according to stats from Adobe.
Indian affordable smartphone maker Karbonn Mobile has announced it is launching in the UK with its Sparkle V on Friday exclusively via Amazon. As a Black Friday special offer, the device will be available for £99 for one day only, after which it will be available at £129.
Tech giant IBM has reported that 21.8 per cent of all US online sales on the Black Friday shopping holiday were made from a mobile device. The revenue generated from mobile by retailers rose 43 per cent year on year, and mobile traffic accounted for 39.7 per cent of all online traffic on the day.
