Research undertaken by analyst firm Strategy Analytics has concluded that pre-installed mobile cloud storage bundles, such as Dropbox, have become table stakes for device vendors and are perceived more as a prerequisite than a value-add.
US telco Sprint announced a partnership this week with cloud storage service provider Pogoplug that will see Sprint offer its customers free cloud storage as part of their mobile services package.
UK incumbent telco BT has announced that, bar its entry-level deals, broadband packages will no longer have any usage limits or traffic management applied. The move applies upwards from its £16 a month upto 16Mbps copper-based ADSL package, and to its 38Mbps and 76Mbps FTTC offerings.
