EE has once more piled competitive pressure on rival UK operators with the launch of EE TV, becoming the first UK mobile network owner to offer quad-play. The EE TV box allows subscribers to stream Freeview and on-demand content over wifi and across four devices simultaneously.

BT’s consumer mobile plans in trouble – report

The firm’s revenue for the quarter fell 3.6 per cent year on year to reach £1.55bn; the operator did not divulge the size of its quarterly profit or loss.

Connected Retail is the first solution announced as part of EE’s Total Enterprise Mobility portfolio. EE signs LTE roaming deals with Orange in France and Spain

UK operator EE has signed outbound LTE roaming agreements with Orange in France and Spain. EE, which is jointly owned by operator groups Orange and Deutsche Telekom, said that the deals are the first of a series of outbound roaming agreements. The operator intends to announce similar deals in the USA, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands in the summer.

Vodafone UK hits out at poor network quality rating

A report on the performance of UK mobile operators that named Vodafone as having the poorest overall network performance of the country’s four operators has drawn strong criticism from the firm. Network performance monitoring specialist RootMetrics published its UK mobile network performance review Thursday, ranking Vodafone in last place for network reliability, mobile internet performance and call and text performance.

EE announces six-year partnership with Wembley Stadium

UK operator EE has signed a six-year partnership deal with the English national football stadium Wembley Stadium. EE will become Wembley Stadium’s lead brand partner, in what is said is the stadium first ever deal of such nature, with immediate effect.

EE taps NSN for next phase of LTE rollout

UK operator EE has dropped Huawei and called on NSN to supply technology for the next phase of its LTE rollout. NSN will provide EE with its Single RAN Advanced solution, enabling EE to run different radio technologies using single, multi-purpose hardware.
