Airtel offloads more Africa towers
Bharti Airtel has brokered several more towers deals that will see it sell off 2,500 towers in Africa to passive infrastructure specialist Helios Towers.
Bharti sells tower assets in Africa
Operator group Bharti Airtel, which focuses on emerging markets in Asia and Africa, has divested 3,100 telecom towers to Helios Towers Africa for an undisclosed sum. Local reports suggest the deal could raise as much as $2bn.
Vodacom Tanzania sells tower assets
Mobile tower outsourcing in Africa continues apace with Vodacom Tanzania on Monday striking a deal to offload its entire tower network to Helios Towers and rent access back.
