Vodafone loses $2.6bn tax appeal in India

Vodafone has lost its petition in the Mumbai High Court appealing against a tax bill believed to be approximately INR120bn ($2.6bn). The charge relates to Vodafone’s 2007 purchase of Hutchison Essar.
