T-Mobile Austria virtualizes BSS, targets new data tariffs

T-Mobile Austria has announced that it will be implementing a virtualized charging system solution as part of a wider virtualized BSS strategy. The solution, provided by BSS specialist Openet, will be responsible for creating personalised offers to T-Mobile Austria’s pay-as-you-go, contract, consumer and enterprise subscribers.

Tele2 to launch as MVNO over T-Mobile Austria

Tele2 has announced its Austrian subsidiary will re-enter the country’s mobile market as a business-to-business MVNO over T-Mobile’s network. The Swedish operator said the move will make Tele2 one of Austria’s most diversified telecoms providers with an offer covering broadband, TV, and fixed and mobile telephony.

T-Mobile Austria confirms intent to appeal auction results

The Austrian arm of operator group Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile Austria, has confirmed its intent to appeal the results of the country’s recent LTE spectrum auction. A spokesperson from the operator told telecoms.com that it plans to appeal to Austria’s Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court next week.

Telekom Austria wins big in spectrum auction, laments high price

Telekom Austria has acquired half of all spectrum being made available in the market’s latest auction, spending €1.03bn in the process. The firm acquired four blocks of 800MHz spectrum, three blocks at 900MHz and seven blocks of 1800MHz spectrum, giving it a 2 x 140MHz allocation in total.
