Sprint: “Put us down for the Nexus One too”

Not to be outdone by the announcement that North American operators AT&T and Rogers (and Bell and Telus) will be getting the Google-branded Nexus One, US carrier Sprint has revealed similar plans.

It looks like a CDMA version of the Google phone is just around the corner, with Sprint revealing that the Nexus One will be available on Sprint’s 3G network and pricing and an exact availability date will be revealed “soon”. CDMA carrier Verizon Wireless is also waiting on a compatible version of the device.

“Nexus One is a powerful device that belongs on a powerful network. This is another step in our continued partnership of innovation with Google,” said Fared Adib, Sprint vice president of product development.”
