Belgian operator Belgacom said Thursday it is selling its stake in the Belgian arm of Orange for Eur147.8m (£99.23m).

The company sold the stake citing its future strategies and claiming that it was no longer a “strategic asset”. In a statement the firm said it had waited for an “opportune moment” to sell the unit.
