French operator Orange has introduced an unlimited international calls tariff for business users of its ‘Unik’ fixed mobile convergence (FMC) service.

The “Unik for Professionals” tariff covers all calls made over wifi to landlines in Europe, the USA and Canada, for a monthly fee of Eur15.88 and is only available in France.

When at work the service works over wifi via the operator’s Livebox modem/router. Outside the building, the phone operates over Orange’s mobile network.

Orange offers a choice of three UMA handsets for its Unik service [known as Unique in the UK], the Nokia 6136, the Samsung P200 and soon the Motorola A910.
