Belgacom to shed 10 per cent of workforce

Belgacom said Thursday that it will cut up to 1,500 jobs, equivalent to 10 per cent of its total workforce, over the the next five years.

In a report by the Belgian daily De Tijd, the company explained that the cuts are due to restructuring at the organisation.

The Belgian incumbent bought ICT group Telindus and mobile network operator, Proximus in 2006.
