Pipex considers sale, appoints advisor

UK telecoms and internet hosting company, Pipex Communications, said Monday that it was looking at various options including a sale of the company.

The company said the investment bank UBS, had been appointed as its advisor.

Following a story in the British paper, The Sunday Express, Pipex said Monday: “This process is at a very early stage and there can be no certainty that a transaction will result.”

The Express said Pipex chairman, Peter Dubens, was looking for an offer of between 16 pence and 22 pence per share.
