TI strikes deal with Sky

Italy’s incumbent operator, Telecom Italia, has signed a deal with satellite broadcaster Sky for the transmission of Sky’s Premium offerings on Alice Home TV, Telecom Italia’s IPTV service.

The agreement includes eight new dedicated Sports channels (Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2, Sky Sport 3, Sky Extra, Sky Sport 16:9, Eurosport, Eurosport 2, Sailing Channel), 15 dedicated soccer/football channels and six optional channels.

The monthly cost for the Cinema and Sky Sport packages will be Eur16 each and Eur20 for the Soccer package.
