Some of Europe’s leading operators are, reportedly, close to signing deals with the online gaming company 888. Once complete, those operators will be able to offer customers online gambling via their handsets.

According to Reuters the Gibraltar based online gambling operator has successfully negotiated deals with several European operators. The unnamed source told Reuters: “It’s in the final stages of negotiation.”

The source told Reuters that mobile gaming was important to 888 as a means of acquiring new customers.

Firms like 888 have been exploring new ways to generate revenues since the US introduced rigorous new legislation on online gambling.
