Kazakhstan’s leading mobile operator, GSM Kazakhstan (KCell) has commercially deployed Mobile WiMAX under the KCell Broadband brand. KCell Broadband is currently available in Atyrau city on a range of USB modems.

WCDMA licences have yet to be issued in the country, therefore mobile WiMAX is currently GSM Kazakhstan’s only available opportunity to offer its subscribers high speed mobile broadband access.
