Samsung unveils dual mode WiMAX device

South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has taken the wraps of its new shiny mobile WiMAX device, due to be launched in Korea first half of 2007.

The SPH-P9000 is a PDA-based device packing both Mobile WiMAX and cdma2000 EV-DO radios, allowing for fast wireless broadband access over WiMAX and voice connectivity over the cellular network.

The device runs Microsoft Windows XP as the operating system and comes with a QWERTY keyboard, MP3 player, video on demand (VOD) and camera. The unit boasts a 5″ WVGA screen and a 30GB hard drive.
