Yahoo gets SMS feature

Web giant Yahoo added an SMS feature to its email client on Monday, allowing users in the US, Canada, India, and the Philippines to send free text messages from the Yahoo messaging client.

With the added features, users can convert their email conversations into IM chats or switch to a text message dialogue as contacts come online or go mobile.
