Telekom Austria Group is to acquire 100 per cent of one of the largest cable operators in the Republic of Macedonia. Blizoo Macedonia offers TV services, broadband and fixed voice and will help Telekom flesh out its own offering in Macedonia where it operates under the Vip brand.

Telekom Austria Group is to acquire 100 per cent of one of the largest cable operators in the Republic of Macedonia. Blizoo Macedonia offers TV services, broadband and fixed voice and will help Telekom flesh out its own offering in Macedonia where it operates under the Vip brand.
The company said the acquisition represents a significant step in fulfilling the group´s convergence strategy and will enable Vip and blizoo to offer bundled fixed and mobile services in Macedonia, like it does in Austria, Bulgaria and Croatia.
“The takeover of blizoo Macedonia allows us to offer the full scale of communications services in the fourth country within our group and is a step forward in the execution of our successful convergence strategy “, said Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO of Telekom Austria Group and A1.
