In response to its nomination Philippines-based Smart Technologies head Rolando Peña said that he hoped that the Smart group’s converged ‘five-screen’ strategy would prove to be a role model across the rest of the LTE industry in terms of providing the best possible customer experience.
Peña said he believes that the Smart operates a world-class LTE service despite being located in a developing country, and in just nine months since launch operates nearly 1,000 LTE-enabled sites in over 115 cities and municipalities.
“Smart aims to maintain its leadership as the recognized pioneer of LTE in the Philippines,” he said. “This nomination helps us gain the trust of more Filipinos, so that when they think of LTE and the future of mobile, they will automatically think of Smart.”
