Indian BSS player Subex has announced the sale of its Activation business, which consists of its service fulfilment suite, to OSS company NetCracker, part of the NEC group, for an undisclosed sum.
Subex said the decision to sell the Activation business is an outcome of a change in strategy to focus on its core products, including revenue assurance, fraud management, partner settlement, data integrity management and managed services.
NetCracker will integrate the tools into its own offering to boost its process automation, inventory management and asset monetisation.
Commenting on the sale, Subash Menon, managing director and CEO of Subex, said, “The market is changing and so are the operator’s needs, to remain competitive. Market evolution is towards solutions that allow CSPs to combine data with insights to trigger customer centric near real time decisions. This enables operators to deliver superior customer experience profitably.”
