Telecom Italia has achieved its tower sales price target in Brazil

Global Village Telecom (GVT), a major Brazilian telco with operations in 17 states, has selected Motorola Mobility’s EDGE Manager platform to remotely manage and troubleshoot its residential broadband subscribers’ connections.

The solution enables GVT to constantly monitor and update equipment in the network and within the customers’ premises, as well as undertake essential maintenance, and where necessary run diagnostic tests.

The EDGE Manager solution will also be used to monitor Global Village Telecom’s video services, once the telco has launched a pay-TV offer (with a rumoured IPTV service launch appearing increasingly likely, according to local reports).
