“I am very pleased to announce that Christian Luiga has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer at TeliaSonera. Christian has been acting CFO for the past four months and has done an excellent job. Christian is very familiar with our operations and well equipped to be part of shaping TeliaSonera into the future. He is also known in our investor community in his capacity as acting CFO”, said Johan Dennelind, President and CEO of TeliaSonera.
The Nordic operator’s problems in Eurasia have yet to be resolved. In March it revealed that two of its Dutch holding companies were being investigated in relation to bribery and money laundering in Uzbekistan.
Shortly afterwards the firm revealed that it was the subject of an investigation by the US Department of Justice over similar issues.
