Prague, Czech Republic, September 12, 2012 – Astellia, a leading provider of monitoring solutions for the optimization of mobile network QoS and QoE, has been selected by Vodafone Czech Republic as a main partner for testing and maximizing its network performance in the context of its 3-year equipment swap project. The contract will enable Vodafone to ensure fast and successful replacement of more than 40 BSCs in its 2G network and deliver the highest customer experience to its subscribers.

With these swap operations, Vodafone aims at reducing both CAPEX and OPEX while providing enhanced service quality. This particularly complex and time-sensitive project requires both a strong expertise in RAN optimization and a vendor-independent monitoring solution. Vodafone has chosen Astellia for its unique radio optimization expertise and its highly flexible portable probing system, ideal for carrying out performance benchmark audits during equipment swaps. The solution will also be used for customer complaint investigations.

“We are very happy with our collaboration with Astellia’s experts. Their know-how and experience in RAN network optimization is a great help to us in evaluating our network’s efficiency after the equipment swap. In the near future, we will most certainly call on their expertise for our 3G network monitoring.” said Slavomír Slanina, RAN Manager at Vodafone Czech Republic.

“We are honored to be recognized by Vodafone Czech Republic for our RAN expertise. Astellia supports Vodafone in strengthening their competitive positioning through monitoring and analyzing network elements to ensure a superior customer experience.” said Sébastien Schultz, Managing Director Europe at Astellia.
