UK telco BT said this week that it plans to launch mobile services in Spain after signing an MVNO agreement with Vodafone Spain.

The service offering will be available in the summer and will be aimed at businesses and the public sector, delivering mobile video telephony, audio/video streaming services, location based services and fixed mobile convergence.

Luis Alvarez, chairman of BT Spain, said: “This announcement gives BT the ability to accelerate the roll-out of innovative mobility services, most important of which will be enhanced functionality on our ground-breaking fixed-mobile convergence service, BT Corporate Fusion that launches in Spain this summer.”
