Bulgarian mobile operator Globul, a subsidiary of Greek carrier Cosmote, became the seventeenth company to launch i-mode services Monday.

Cosmote itself launched i-mode, developed by leading Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo, in Greece in June 2004.

Upon launch, i-mode will be made available on three handsets, the Samsung S400i, Motorola L6 i-mode and Motorola L7 SLVR i-mode.

Globul will offer free i-mode use (up to 5MB) until October 31.

GLOBUL plans to continuously enhance its customers’ options with new i-mode sites and handsets.
