US internet services giant Google has started taking orders for its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service ‘Google Fiber’ in Kansas City, Missouri, with launch set for this spring.
Google has confirmed that its first eight “fiberhoods” in the city are: Crown Center, Midtown, Sunset Hill, South Plaza West, Countryside, Greenway Fields, Wornall Homestead, and Crossroads.
Residents in these eight neighbourhoods must order their service plan soon though – all applications must be in by the end of April, with residents in some areas obliged to file their order before March 21st.
Writing on the Google Fiber blog, Community Manager Rachel Hack added that the deadlines will be up in the next few weeks for residents of the next four fiberhoods in Kansas City, Kansas.
