(Berlin/Barcelona, February 15, 2010) Cortado, the experts in mobile business solutions, today announced its free mobile office solution for BlackBerry® smartphone users, Cortado Workplace. The Cortado Workplace solution allows BlackBerry smartphone users to store documents and files in the cloud and access them anytime and anywhere via the Cortado Workplace file manager application or the browser. The solution also includes printing, enabling users to print documents on any local or network printer.
Each user of Cortado Workplace will receive an individual password-protected 1GB of online storage and access to files via their BlackBerry smartphone, PC or laptop. For ease of use, the Cortado Workplace file manager application has the look and feel of Microsoft Windows Explorer.
“Cloud computing is the hot buzzword at the moment and provides many benefits for businesses and end users. With our new application, BlackBerry smartphone users can access and manage their files as if they were on their desktop PC and even print them to any printer,” says Dirk Loewenberg, Cortado Services Director.
Cortado Workplace supports BlackBerry smartphones that run OS v4.2.1 and higher, including the BlackBerry® Curve(TM) , BlackBerry® Storm(TM), BlackBerry® Bold (TM) and BlackBerry® Tour(TM) series of smartphones.
Corporate customers who would like to use the cloud printing services in their own company network behind the firewall can do so with Cortado Corporate Server to build their own private cloud.
