Iain and Scott retreat from springtime London to bring you another dose of telecoms chit-chat. They start with the latest on the hot topic of OpenRAN, including Dish going all-in with AWS. Quarterlies season is in full flow, so they move on to look at Ericsson’s before concluding with a review of the latest thinking around the regulation of artificial intelligence.

Listened to your latest podcast around hyperscalers where you mentioned MobiledgeX. By coincidence, I just saw they put this out – https://www.mobileeurope.co.uk/press-wire/15716-mobiledgex-explores-orchestration-for-edge-workloads-on-google-cloud . Might be interesting for one of you on the show to have a chat with them. They are working on how telecom can leverage advanced hyperscaler infrastructure without giving up all of their control. In a similar to way to how Netflix works with AWS and their own stuff I think.
I have to confess, you three actually make telecom sound quite interesting! 🙂
Thanks.
