Chinese content company Linktone confirmed plans to make a formal offer for UK-based mobile content firm MonsterMob on Wednesday.

Linktone’s proposal is conditional that MonsterMob turns down a rival offer from Spain’s LaNatro Zed at its EGM on Friday.

“Linktone is ready to make a formal takeover offer for MonsterMob within hours of MonsterMob’s EGM on Friday provided the LaNatro Zed SA proposal is voted down,” the Chinese company said.

However, Zed has the support of the MonsterMob board, which advised shareholders to vote for the partnership on Friday.
