Cosmote applies for Romanian 3G licence

A formal offer for a 3G licence has been submitted to the Romanian General Inspectorate for Communications and Information Technology, Cosmote’s Romanian unit said on Monday.

Bids for the licences – worth around $35m – will be announced by the government later this month

According to Cosmote the company has already accounted for both the capital expenditure for the license and subsequent network rollout in its budget.
