Nokia Siemens Networks confirmed on Wednesday that three of its employees had been arrested by Iran whilst working in Dubai.

The equipment vendor said that three Finnish citizens had been detained off the island of Abu Masa on Saturday, whilst on a fishing trip in the Gulf.

They had been held by Iran in a secret location.

Nokia said today that it has been contacted by the workers “with the information that they expect to return to Dubai shortly.”
