Ericsson’s CTO Ulf Ewaldsson opened Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam with some impressive numbers: 85 per cent of the world is covered with 2G voice; 45 per cent of the population is covered with 3G; and five per cent is covered by a 4G system, which he expects to reach 50 per cent in the next five years.
