Huawei wins twice at Telecoms.com LTE Awards 2014
In the spectacular, if slightly surreal, setting of a former Catholic church in Amsterdam, the Telecoms.com LTE Awards 2014 celebrated the greatest technological achievements in LTE over the past year. There were a diverse group of nominees and winners, with Chinese telco giant Huawei being the only double award winner.

In the spectacular, if slightly surreal, setting of a former Catholic church in Amsterdam, the Telecoms.com LTE Awards 2014 celebrated the greatest technological achievements in LTE over the past year. There were a diverse group of nominees and winners, with Chinese telco giant Huawei being the only double award winner.
The Telecoms.com LTE Awards 2014 are part of the broader LTE World Summit 2014 event. Hosted by TV presenter and concert pianist LJ Rich, the awards represented a roll-call of the companies that are currently shaping and advancing LTE. The panel of nine independent judges had to deliberate over ten categories and tens of shortlisted companies. Here are the categories and winners:
Best test/measurement LTE product – Amdocs
Best LTE backhaul solution – Alcatel-Lucent
Most significant development of an LTE network (operators only) – LG U+
Best LTE core network element – ZTE
Best LTE traffic management product – Huawei
Most innovative LTE application/service – Samsung
Best LTE roaming/IPX product – Syniverse
Best VoLTE innovation – Radisys
Innovation in HetNet development – Huawei
NFV innovation of the year – Mavenir Systems
