Iraq gets LTE
LTE services have been deployed in Iraq, by network infrastructure vendor Alcatel-Lucent and Regional Telecom, a communications service provider in Northern Iraq.

LTE services have been deployed in Iraq by Alcatel-Lucent and Regional Telecom, an operator in Northern Iraq.
Alcatel-Lucent is providing an end-to-end 4G LTE solution, including IP mobile backhaul, Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and elements of its platforms to allow Regional Telecom to introduce advanced IP-based services.
“Industry trends as well as our own experiences make it perfectly clear that high-speed mobile broadband is the major growth opportunity for the foreseeable future, and we are excited to be able to bring this impressive capability to our customers in Iraq,” saidKawa Junad, chairman of Regional Telecom.

The LTE World Summit takes place on the 24th-26th June 2013, at the Amsterdam RAI, Netherlands
